All of the staff of Fountains Home Care have been employed due to their caring approach and their experience, skills and training that enable them to deliver high quality care. Here, we go into further detail about why our care staff can be thoroughly relied upon.
Our staff are committed, professional, reliable and - especially crucially - compassionate. They treat service users with dignity and respect at all times. This includes respect for their privacy when carrying out personal care. All of our carers respect the wishes of the service users that they look after and promote these users' choice and independence.
All of our care staff are trained to a high standard. Locally-based healthcare training provider SpringBoard Safety Services can give them advice and training, and there is also mandatory and ongoing training that all of our staff undergo. To be employed by Fountains Home Care, it is also necessary to have an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate and at least two references.
Comfort for service users
We know that our service users feel reassured by a high degree of continuity and familiarity in their care. For this reason, we make sure that, wherever possible, the same carer regularly visits the same service user, and that no service user ever sees more than three different staff members. This can boost both the user's confidence and their relations with our staff. For further peace of mind, all of our friendly staff are also uniformed and with photo identification cards.
The right equipment
We provide all of our staff with the equipment that they need, including gloves, aprons and hand sanitiser, to do their jobs to a high standard. This includes equipment that can help to prevent cross-contamination and, as a result, healthcare-related illnesses like MRSA and diarrhea.
